Low-T
Is It ED or Low Testosterone? How to Tell
Erectile dysfunction is a problem getting or keeping an erection. Low testosterone primarily reduces libido, energy, and mood — erections may be affected but are usually not the dominant symptom. Treating low-T alone rarely fixes vascular ED; treating ED alone won't help fatigue or low libido from hypogonadism. Many men need both addressed.

Symptom pattern matters
Strong libido + weak erection points to ED. Weak libido + good erections when interested points to low-T. Both weak together — measure morning testosterone and evaluate vascular risk.
Why the distinction matters clinically
Testosterone therapy improves libido and energy but only modestly helps erections in most men. PDE5 inhibitors do the opposite. Combined therapy outperforms either alone when both are present.
